Like most arts organisations, Live Art Dance lives and breathes because of operating and project funding from public granting organisations. While this funding is essential to our ongoing activities, raising additional funds through an annual fundraising event is part and parcel of Live Art's survival.

The Salt Truck Follies is Live Art's annual fundraising event and anyone who's been will tell you it is like no other! Yes, the objective is to raise $$, but we like to have a good time (ok, a REALLY GOOD time!) in the process. Our house band, Chet Caruso and the Action Figures, keeps the vibe up from start to finish, while a parade of talent hits the stage. Our signature event, Dancing with the Halifamous, has gone viral since its inception in 2007, and annually pits local celebrities against each other in a riotous spin off of Dancing with the Stars.

Taking place on the first Saturday of each March, the Salt Truck Follies also features a silent auction and cash bar.
