Hi Live Art friends,
We hope you’re still all cozy and warm and enjoying this impromptu long weekend.
We regret to confirm that BJM Danse’s presentation tonight has been cancelled due to the weather. The dancers are still unable to arrive in Halifax, as the Stanfield Airport remains closed; furthermore, the university, which runs the Rebecca Cohn, is also closed today.
We are working with both BJM Danse and the Rebecca Cohn to reschedule this performance. Currently, we are looking at an alternate date in late March/early April. We will keep you posted as this develops. Cross your fingers that this snow will be gone by then!
If you have purchased tickets, we are able to honour those for the new date. If you know you will be unavailable, we can refund them as well.
PLEASE NOTE: If you purchased tickets through the Rebecca Cohn Box Office, you will need to contact them directly.
Our offices will remain closed today, but urgent inquiries can be directed to firstname.lastname@example.org.
Thanks so much for your patience and understanding during these blustery days! We look forward to seeing you – and BJM – in the spring!
– Live Art Dance
We hope that you’re all staying cozy and safe!
We are sad to announce that, due to the storm, the team at BJM Danse has not been able to land in Halifax and they will not be able to get in town in time to do their show on February 14 as scheduled.
We are currently investigating some alternate times (primarily February 15), so please stay tuned and monitor social media for updates throughout the day! Our apologies for any inconveniences this storm has caused.
Please take note that the Live Art offices are closed, but we will be checking the email@example.com email account all day (or as long as we have power, whichever comes first).
Keep warm, friends!
Live Art Dance is pleased to announce that effective immediately Randy Glynn will become its new Artistic Director, succeeding Paul Caskey who served at the helm of the organization from 2005 until Spring of this year. The announcement by Board Chair Sheila Strong and Vice Chair and Hiring Committee Chair Seth Levinson ends an extensive nine- month search.
“We are delighted to welcome Randy Glynn to Live Art” said Ms. Strong. “He is an artist of the highest calibre and a recognized leader in his field. We believe that he has the essential combination of vision, experience and artistry that will not only enrich our own organization but contribute to the vibrant cultural life of Halifax and the region of Atlantic Canada as well.”
