Using Coming Together and Attica, composer Frederic Rzewski’s powerful response to the 1971 Attica prison riots, as a departure point, choreographer Rebecca Lazier has crafted a moving work that juxtaposes violence and tenderness in a world of isolation. Performed in the round with an ensemble of ten musicians as part of the Scotia Festival of Music, this is a brilliant opportunity to witness live dance and music entwined in searing harmony.
